  How do Jehovah’s Witnesses arrive at their explanation of the Bible?

  This documented historical connection with the occult is evident in several ways. Russell relied heavily on astrological predictions and signs of the zodiac. Rutherford believed that Jehovah most likely resided in the Pleiades constellation. Many of Rutherford and Russell's false predictions were calculated based on alignment and measurement of ancient Egyptian pyramids relying in essence on the powers of the occult. A small pyramid was erected next to Russell's grave as a memorial to his life and work. The satanic All-Seeing Eye of occult worship adorns Russell's memorial pyramid, and early Watchtower publications incorporate Masonic symbolism to a great degree. Furthermore, the Divine Plan of the Ages, an early Watchtower book, is adorned with the Winged Sun Disc, an Egyptian religious symbol of pagan origins and false worship.
  
  The Jehovahs Witnesses can run from their occult past, but they can't hide. Nor can they sweep these truths under the rug of their New Light Doctrine. Due to such an un-biblical foundation that continued well into the 1920s, it is inconceivable that Jesus Christ chose the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society as their sole representatives on earth due to the purity of their faith.

  Is Disfellowshipping a form of Bullying?

  i thought that subjec related so closely to the disfellowshipping practice.

  Definately.

  Verging on the macabre in this 21st Century, the Jehovah's Witnesses draconian practice of disfellowshipping and shunning current and former members is one of the most controversial aspects of this religion and has caused untold psychological and physical harm to thousands. The Watchtower Society mislabels the practice of shunning and disfellowshipping, as an act of love and a means of enforcing conformity.
  
  Scriptural justification for shunning is weak, at best. It is considered by many on the outside as one of the most offensive and unbiblical tools in the Watchtower Society's arsenal of weapons used to enforce rigid conformity to their multitude of rules and regulations. Grounds for disfellowshipping, a radical form of excommunication, are legion. The list includes adultery, fornication, greed, accepting blood transfusions (with modifications), drunkenness, associating with the disfellowshipped ... the list is very extensive and subject to wide interpretation. Many of those shunned or disfellowshipped are guilty of apostasy - abandoning the religion and turning away from the teachings of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. Similar to the Mob, once you're in there's no easy way out without suffering severe consequences.
  
  A significant amount of judging and attendance at judicial committees is involved. The act of shunning and disfellowshipping as implemented by the Jehovah's Witnesses has caused untold pain and suffering among friends and family members. Families are routinely destroyed and broken up, forever; siblings are separated, often for life, parents lose their children, children lose their parents. Grandparents are ostracized and cut off from their grandchildren for the sake of keeping members 'in.'
  
  Most often the simple act of saying hello to a disfellowshipped person, or one who has disassociated him or herself from the organization, is forbidden. The horror stories told by the disfellowshipped, thousands of them, are ghastly and heartrending. The ancient practice of disfellowshipping and shunning causes profound psychological damage, and has led to suicide. As practiced by the Jehovah's Witnesses, their extreme form of shunning in most cases is simply cruel, nothing more.
  
  Anyone considering joining the Jehovah's Witnesses is advised to pay close attention to the consequences and repercussions for not living up to the Watchtower Society's standards, or questioning their doctrine.   as stated, in my personal experience i have had people phone who were afraid to give their name or who felt it necessary to use a fictitious name, some who even felt it necessary to take out a special post office box to be able to correspond without danger of their correspondence with me or other former witnesses being discovered.

  Raymond Franz was a former member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses for nine years. Born in 1922, Raymond Franz recently passed away on June 2, 2010 at the age of 88 of a brain hemorrhage. He was the author of two books written subsequent to being disfellowshipped by the Jehovah's Witnesses for apostasy, and was regarded by many as the most influential and well-known ex-Jehovah's Witness in the world.

  JWs explain it this way: "If alcohol were forbidden, would you inject it into your veins?" Oh yes, they even have a picture with this ridiculous analogy in a recent publication!

  Definately, if it would save my life. How can they compare the desire to stay alive with the desire to get drunk?

  only three escaped.

  Back to the original question, the JWs have already administered the Kool-Aid to their own children, just as the Jonestown cultists did when they held their crying children down and murdered them. The JWs do this with their prohibition on blood transfusions, essentially throwing their own innocent offsprings into the flaming fire in order to please their idea of Jehovah, just as the early Israelites did when worshiping Molech and Baal who tossed their children into the flames even though YHWH stated clearly that this was something that never, ever entered into his mind.

  Reslight2: Since Russell did not rely at all on astrological predictions, or the signs of the zodiac (as in astrology), the above statements are false.

  Me: Again, you are very much mistaken in this regard as well. Russell, like those today publishing Watchtower material, routinely spoke out of both sides of his mouth, denouncing astrology on one hand, yet using it to further and verify his false predictions, like the Society today which condemns Christiandom but relies heavily on Christian books and teachings, when it suits them to defend their false religion. As for Russell disclaiming occultism, many occultists deny they are of the occult. His was only a self-serving statement, but the facts speak for themselves.
  
  Here are Watchtower quotes as reprinted at JWFacts.com which proves that Russell relied on astrology, which as we all know is strictly forbidden by the Almighty and condemned as Satanic.

The start of World War One in 1914 is stated by Astrologers to be proof that extraordinary events do occur with the meeting of Uranus and Jupiter in Aquarius."

  Reslight2: The study of God's Stone Witness in Egypt (not "ancient Egyptian pyramids" [plural]) as a verfication of the Bible has nothing at all to do relying on the essence of the power of the occult. Russell did not rely at all on the "powers of the occult".
  
  
  Me: You are greatly mistaken in this regard. Much of what Russell relied upon, whether he knew it or not, or acknowledged it in writing, was the power of the occult and demonism. You base your disclaimer on a narrow interpretation of "occult." However, even a contemporary dictionary such as the Random House College Dictionary interprets the term broadly, defining it as: "2. Secret, disclosed or communicated only to the initiated. 3. Of or pertaining to magic, astrology, and other alleged sciences claiming use or knowledge of secret, mysterious, or supernatutal agencies; the supernatural or supernatural agencies and affairs considered as a whole.
  
  In light of this definition Russell's activities were derived squarely from the occult as they involve a pseudo-science and he relied on the dark powers of the supernatural, not the powers of God Almighty, to arrive at his false conclusions. We know that such reliance on measuring the Great Pyramid of Jeezeh is Satanic in origin because those measurements were used to predict the coming Kingdom in 1874, and later in 1914. As both of those dates have been proven to be false prophecies, and false prophets are not from God, your statement that "Russell did not rely at all on the "powers of the occult"" is simply not true. Even Rutherford stated in 1928 that the pyramid is "Satan's Bible, and not God's stone witness." (Watchtower 1928 Nov 15 p.344). And because these occultist teachings lingered well into the 1920s it is impossible for Jesus, who returned allegedly in 1914, to have chosen the JWs as the only true and approved religion in 1919. It is impossible.
